Board & Lodge: Eligibility/Admission Criteria

People who can be served

  1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. Male or female.
  3. Must be ambulatory.
  4. Must be able to benefit from the program and environment of family centered group living.
  5. Must take medications if they have been prescribed.
  6. Must agree to placement.
  7. Must have a primary diagnosis of mental illness and/or chemical dependency, or be involved with the criminal justice system and are experiencing mental health symptoms that are seriously affecting their daily lives.

People who cannot be served

  1. People who are currently (within last 6 months) aggressive or acting out to the point where they are a danger to themselves or others.
  2. People who refuse to take their medications as prescribed by their doctor.
  3. People who cannot negotiate stairways safely due to physical limitations.
  4. People with active communicable tuberculosis or any other contagious or infectious disease that is not controlled.
  5. People who require specialized medical care or nursing care.
  6. People who are not willing to participate in the program at Arrowhead House.
